Cuban specie mahogany is denser and finer textured than the more widely used mahogany species and has exceptional stability, subtle beauty and makes great guitars.

This Surinam grown stock was sourced from street trees that had been planted in the Surinam capital Paramaribo and was imported into The Netherlands about 30 years ago.

This stock is considerably denser than the wood sourced India and Indonesia and is much more like the original Cuban grown timber in quality.

 

Cuban mahogany is CITES listed and requires special licences for export. We regret that for practical reasons we are not able to supply this item outside the UK.

The sizes listed below are typical for our electric guitar tops. There can be variations. Please tell us the length and width of the guitar you want to make and we will select the most suitable blank for your purposes.
