Our spalted maple is sourced from one of the North west USA species of maple and is closer to sycamore in density and characteristics than would be American hard rock maple from Eastern USA and Canada.

It is in the nature of spalted wood that there can be soft patches and the occasional worm hole. These issues are included in the grading process and are therefore less of an issue in the higher priced sets.

 

The sizes listed below are typical for our electric guitar tops. There can be variations. Please tell us the length and width of the guitar you want to make and we will select the most suitable blank for your purposes.
