A rare survivor of a bygone age. Before being rediscovered these rare boards had been stored in a garage since the 1950’s and were thought to be very old stock prior to that.
Add the rarity of the single board in this stock that yielded just two back and sides sets than you know you have something really special.
Burma padauk is close textured, dense and resonant. It has rather more in common with rosewood than with the padauk types currently available.
