This is not the same as the fabulous and famous rosewood from Brazil that has been banned from international trade. It is from the same genus and therefore has some of the same virtues. The colour is rich chocolate brown and dark. It is mostly plain in figure and is a little denser than Indian or Rio rosewood.

All Dalbergia species are CITES listed and require a special permit for export. We regret that for practical reasons we are not able to supply this item outside the UK.
